Website Design • Logo Design • Powerpoint Template • Business Cards
EpiContext is a research synthesis and epidemiology consultancy in Washington, DC. When the founder, Michelle Althuis, approached me to create her initial brand, responsive website and powerpoint template, I jumped at the chance to work with her because her intention is to provide research to corporations with the utmost quality and ethics.
Michelle described in great detail how her work identifies groups of people and how these specific groups of people could be represented within multiple illustrated bell curves for her homepage animation. During our first brainstorming session, it was clear she wanted something that was simple, creative, yet not overly produced so it would appeal to an academic audience who is used to reading dry research material.
Our conversations really paid off with the first round of storyboard illustrations receiving quick approval. And once the site was launched, we incorporated the homepage illustration into both her Powerpoint template and business cards.
It is so important to listen to my clients because they know their audience better than anyone.
As we narrowed down the overall look and feel of the site, the feedback I consistently received was to keep things simple, clean and professional, so we pared the base design down to it’s bare minimum while maintaining focus on clarity and an easy, straightforward user experience.
